Deb Burgin is the Director of Annual and Leadership Gifts at the Santa Monica Education Foundation. Deb oversees the Annual Campaign and works closely with school and PTA leaders on annual fundraising efforts for Santa Monica families.
Deb has over 20 years of experience working for nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles County on community engagement, fundraising, program planning, and evaluation.
Deb previously served as the Executive Director of Ready, Set, Read for six years. Prior to that, she served as the Executive Director of Los Angeles Diaper Drive. Deb also worked as a Programs Director at Susan G. Komen LA County and the American Cancer Society in Los Angeles.
Deb received her Masters of Public Health from California State University, Northridge and completed her internship at UCLA.
Deb lives with her husband and two children in Santa Monica, where her children attend Santa Monica’s public schools.
