Linda Greenberg is currently serving as Interim Executive Director of the Ed Foundation.

Linda Greenberg previously served as the Executive Director of the Santa Monica Education Foundation from 2001 to 2022. Prior to that, she served on the Ed Foundation’s Board of Directors starting in 1994. She has spent more than 28 years serving Santa Monica’s public school students.

As the Interim Executive Director, Linda’s main focus will bringing in corporate and major gifts for the Ed Foundation’s Annual Fund, as well as building an Athletic Campaign to support young athletes in Santa Monica’s public schools. Under Linda’s leadership, the Ed Foundation has raised Academic and Arts Endowments in excess of $10.5 million. Linda will bring great enthusiasm and energy to the development and implementation of this new Athletic Endowment.

Linda’s work is propelled by her steadfast dedication to providing equity and access to all children in Santa Monica’s public schools. Her core belief is that all students, regardless of their economic status, should have access to a quality education.

During her tenure as Executive Director, the Foundation grew its three endowments to a value of over $10.5 million and has granted a total of over $24 million to the school district.

Linda’s extensive community involvement has resulted in recognition and awards from the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, Santa Monica-Malibu Council of PTAs, Santa Monica Bay Area Human Relations Council, the City of Santa Monica, and the State Assembly and Senate. She has also served on numerous school district and community committees including the Measure BB school bond campaign, Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, Arts For All Committee, Yes on Y & YY Steering Committee, and Buy Local Santa Monica.

Linda is also proud of her role as co-founder of CEPS, the Community for Excellent Public Schools. This organization was formed to build financial support for our public schools, resulting in a long-term agreement with the City of Santa Monica that now provides almost $10 million annually to our schools.

After her retirement as Executive Director in September 2022, Linda started part-time as Director of Special Projects at the Ed Foundation. In her new role, Linda is spearheading the development of the For Athletics Campaign to increase funding for sports and athletics in the Santa Monica Schools. She also oversees the Samohi Scholarship Fund, whose investments the Ed Foundation has managed since 2015.
