Linda Greenberg has served as the Executive Director of the Ed Foundation since 2001. Prior to that, she served as the Foundation’s volunteer President for seven years. Under Linda’s leadership, the Ed Foundation has raised Academic and Arts Endowments in excess of $8 million and has awarded grants to the District, schools, teachers totaling more than $10 million.
The Ed Foundation’s mission of serving all students – every student, every school, every opportunity – is the reason Linda first got involved after her two-year PTA Presidency at Franklin Elementary School from 1992 to 1994. Her core belief that all students should have access to a quality education, regardless of economic status, fueled Linda to get involved with the Ed Foundation.
Linda’s extensive community involvement has resulted in recognition and awards from the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, where she is currently co-chair of Buy Local, Santa Monica-Malibu Council of PTAs, Santa Monica Bay Area Human Relations Council, the City of Santa Monica, and the State Assembly. She has also served on numerous school district and community committees including the Measure BB school bond campaign, the S.M. Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, the Arts For All Committee, the Executive Committee of the Committee to Protect our Community and Schools, and the Yes on Y & YY Steering Committee. She currently serves on the State Board of the California Consortium for Education Foundations.
In addition to her work with the Ed Foundation, Linda is proud of her role as co-founder of CEPS, the Community for Excellent Public Schools. This organization was formed to build financial support for our public schools, resulting in a long-term agreement with the City of Santa Monica that provides more than $12 million annually to our schools.
