Pledge Week 2020
This Pledge Week, we’re doing something different.
Your donation during Pledge Week will still fund the excellent programs that donations to the Ed Foundation always support - arts, STEM, wellness programs and more. But this year, your donation will also help the students most impacted by the pandemic and distance learning.
For every donation to the Ed Foundation, now through Friday, an anonymous donor will contribute a dollar-for-dollar matching gift to fund tutoring for homeless and foster youth in our schools, up to $30,000.
Your donation this week is doubly important. Even during distance learning, all Santa Monica students count on donations to fund arts, classroom aides, STEM and more. Gifts fund instructional aides who work with students in small groups online, and P.S. ARTS, which will be delivered online during distance learning. Donations also fund a stretch grant that each school decides how to spend, from elementary through high school. These flexible funds often support STEM, wellness and teacher training and are so important as schools adjust their curriculums for distance learning.
And now, your donation will also help Santa Monica’s most vulnerable students. You can make twice the impact with just one donation.
I hope you will make your gift today. You can donate at smedfoundation.org/donate. You can also mail your donation or drop it at your school office or through the mail slot at the Ed Foundation office (1645 16th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90402).
